The CD-ROM is a comprehensive first aid course and reference guide which combines video, photography, voice, graphics, text and interactive 3D animation designed to give anyone crucial knowledge on how to deal with a wide range of childhood accidents quickly, confidently and correctly.

The content complies to international first aid Guidelines 2005 as set out by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), the American Heart Association (AHA), the European Resuscitation Council (ERC), the Resuscitation Council UK and the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC).

In the convenience of your own home, the CD-ROM offers clear step-by-step stages of training, sets a consistent standard; ensures that all aspects of first aid are covered; easy to navigate and understand; and as comprehensive as a traditional face-to-face first aid course. The CD-ROM also acts as a great basic training/reference/referral source and be used to refresh previously learnt first aid skills.

The CD-ROM is user friendly, even for those who are non-computer literate. It requires minimum computer skills, uses no complicated medical jargon and will run on any Microsoft Windows or Apple Mac operating system.

The content is made up of 20 main chapters, 60 sub chapters and 38 FAQ and examination sections. Subjects covered range from minor emergencies (cuts & grazes) to more critical first aid emergencies such as drowning, choking, poisoning and cardiac arrest.

Every chapter and sub chapter contains a single first aid technique with a full explanation of what actions to take. There is a final examination at the end of the CD-ROM that will test the user on all subjects covered within the course. On successful completion and achieving the required grade, the user will be awarded with one of our First Aid Certificates.
