Information we need from you

When you order from us by phone, you will need to provide your name, address, credit/debit card number, expiry date, issue number, security number (the last 3 numbers on the back of your card).  We also need an email address and contact telephone number so we can contact you if there’s a problem. 

Your address and contact details will be given to our couriers for delivery of your order.

If you give us your consent during the ordering process we may contact you by email or post to advise you of new products, news, special offers or changes to our site.  If you would like to opt out of receiving this information, please de-select the “Privacy Tick here if you’d like us to contact you with new products or newsletters:” checkbox when placing your order or send an email to 

How we use this information

We use the information you provide to:

Credit Card Security

How we keep this information secure:

All the information you send is transmitted securely and processed immediately using up-to-the-minute encryption technology known as SSL (Secure Socket Layer) to prevent the interception of the details as they are transmitted.  This means that the information is sent in such a way that it is inaccessible by any unauthorised person and only we can decode the information to obtain your details.  This is done by encrypting (scrambling) the data between your computer and the servers we use.  This means that ordering via our site is even more secure than ordering over the phone.

When you've finished adding items to your shopping cart and go the checkout, you will move into a secure area of our site.  You can tell that the data is encrypted as the address in your browser will change from http:// to https:// and a small padlock icon  will appear at the bottom of your browser window. This is your guarantee that you can send your details to us with confidence.  You will remain in this secure zone for the entire checkout process. All payment transactions are processed by a bank and FSA approved financial payments agency who automatically verify your details and then pass the transaction to your card provider and our bank.  Your card is validated and authorisation approved immediately, which means that you can be assured you have entered your details correctly.  To comply with the data protection act your card details, once processed, are deleted and are not retained by us.  This does mean that you will have to repeat your card details for every online order – a small inconvenience, but one that makes it completely safe to order with us online.

Your Responsibilities

Please be aware that it is your responsibility to maintain the security of your own details when entering information on a computer or over the telephone so that your details are not overheard by someone or obtained from your computer.  For your own protection you should ensure that the PC equipment you use is virus free and protected by a suitably configured firewall.  If you are unsure about the security of the system you use then you should seek advice from the person maintaining the PC or a 3rd party advisor.  We cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer as a result of a third party gaining unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from us.
